The Center for Health and the Global Environment tests innovative ways to build and steward our surroundings so that we can all live long, healthy lives. We translate complex, rigorous science into tools that guide organizations, governments, and communities across the world to better protect our health.
Through our Climate, Energy, and Health and Sustainable Technologies and Health programs and our International Sustainable Tourism Initiative, we conduct research and share innovations with the organizations best positioned to scale solutions around the world to improve peoples’ lives and the places in which they live.
Through our Healthy Buildings and Healthy Cities programs and our Sustainable Seafood and Health Initiative, we bring together people to learn and share innovative ideas that improve the places in which we live and the food we eat.
Through our Sustainability and Health Initiative for NetPositive Enterprise (SHINE) and Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership programs, we enlist organizations as laboratories to test innovative ways to create a corporate culture that nurtures sustainability, health, and wellbeing.
Through the sustainability track of our Master of Public Health degree, we train current and future leaders to conduct scientific research that enhances our understanding of how our surroundings shape our health.
